I’m Shana Crosson, a 40-something semi-techie with some strong opinions about using technology, education and maybe other things.
I’m a former teacher and a curriculum/content developer for a large state historical society. I’ve been fortunate to research how schools are using technology. This work has truly shifted my education paradigm. I’m continually motivated and impressed with those who are leading the way. I love history and digital primary sources!
I’m also a parent of two teenagers. As a parent, I’m frustrated by the focus on testing instead of learning. I’d like to see my kids’ schools acknowledge and incorporate technology in ways that improve student development, not view it as an evil.
